Buyer feature
Set your rules once. Let qualifying offers progress automatically.
Automatic approval lets a buyer define pre-set conditions. Offers that meet all conditions progress without a per-offer review. Offers outside the conditions pause for manual review.
Who this is for
The problem
Buyers who purchase the same items repeatedly -- same specification, same volume, same delivery location -- shouldn't need to manually review every matching offer. The decision is already predictable. Automatic approval reduces friction without removing control.
Audience
Buyers with recurring, predictable needs who want qualifying offers to progress when they meet defined criteria -- freeing attention for offers that genuinely require review.
What it does
Your rules. Your conditions. Applied consistently.
You define a rule: item type, maximum quantity, maximum total including all fees, delivery location, and a validity period. Offers that meet every condition simultaneously progress without a per-offer review. Offers that fall outside any condition pause for manual review -- exactly as Manual Approval works.
If offer terms change, the changed offer is re-evaluated against your rule from scratch. Automatic approval is set by the buyer for their own purchases. Merchants cannot define buying rules on behalf of buyers, and merchant pricing rules are separate.
Key facts
- ·Automatic approval rules are set by the buyer -- not by merchants.
- ·Changed terms trigger fresh evaluation, not automatic re-approval.
- ·Automatic approval ≠ skipping payment. Payment remains a separate step.
- ·Rules can be updated or disabled at any time. Changes apply to future offers.

Controls and outcomes
Managing your approval rules
Create a rule
Define item, quantity ceiling, total ceiling including all fees, delivery location, and validity period. All conditions must be met simultaneously.
Qualifying offers progress
Offers meeting all rule conditions advance without a per-offer review decision from you.
Non-qualifying offers pause
Offers outside any condition are held for manual review -- the same process as Manual Approval.
Update your rules
Edit or disable rules at any time. Changes apply to future offers, not offers already in progress.
Changed terms re-evaluated
If an offer's terms change after initial evaluation, the updated offer is re-assessed against your rule from scratch.
Payment remains separate
Automatic approval means the offer progresses without a per-offer review. Payment is always a subsequent, distinct step.
Comparison
Automatic Approval vs Manual Approval
Note: automatic approval rules are set by the buyer for their own purchases. They are not merchant-defined rules and do not overlap with merchant pricing configuration.
